Join our dynamic team as a GIS Manager and play a pivotal role in overseeing, managing, and enhancing the City's Geographic Information Systems (GIS).
Duties include day-to-day control over specific administrative, financial, and technical functions related to the establishment of GIS applications, such as spatial database development and database programming.
This position also involves responsibility for multi-media applications within the City.
The incumbent is expected to exercise independent judgment, as the position is responsible for acting in a coordinating capacity for development, implementation and maintenance of the City’s GIS.
Supervision may be exercised over a small number of subordinate personnel.
Work will be performed in accordance with the directives of the Department Head or designee, with considerable leeway allowed to independently perform the duties of the position.

Senior Project Manager (NY HELPS Program)

The City of Albany’s Department of Administrative Services is seeking a Senior Project Manager to lead and manage the implementation of critical new software within the City. Our Department is comprised of the Offices of Budget, Human Resources, Innovation, Information Technology, Purchasing, MWBE & EEO Compliance, Payroll, Public Records, Sustainability, and Cultural Affairs.
