This position within the Albany Police Department will work as part of a multidisciplinary team to provide specialized assistance to individuals in crisis. Caseworkers play a crucial role in supporting and stabilizing community members, ensuring that they receive appropriate care and resources. This position works with police officers and community partners to provide case management services to support victims and families dealing with violence, homicides, mental health, family issues, domestic violence, homelessness, and other related crises.  

The City of Albany’s Police Department  is seeking an experienced, self-motivated and dynamic Human Resources Generalist III to join our fast-paced and impactful team! As Human Resources Generalist III, you will play a vital role in supporting all office operations, including recruitment, benefit administration, workers' compensation, compliance, retirement and civil service processes. We are looking for someone with exceptional organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a high-volume environment. Preferred qualifications include experience with civil service and benefit administration in a municipal office setting.

The incumbent in this class performs a variety of supervisory, administrative and technical tasks directing and performing activities for construction, maintenance, operation, repair and/or replacement of the City’s infrastructure.  The work is performed under the general direction and reports to the Commissioner.  Supervision over daily operations and personnel.  

This position involves responsibility for maintaining order and providing security in public buildings, schools and courtrooms. Persons employed in this class shall have all the powers of a peace officer, as set forth in section 2.20 of Criminal Procedure Law, when performing the duties of protecting property or persons on such premises. The work is performed under general supervision of the Police Chief. The incumbent does related work as required. 

The City of Albany’s Department of Administrative Services is seeking a highly skilled and proactive Information Security professional to join our team. In this role, you'll be instrumental in shaping and maintaining our enterprise security vision, strategy, and programs, directly contributing to the protection of our information assets and technologies.
